President's Message - December 2025

President's Message - December 2025

December has a certain kind of magic, doesn’t it? The glow of holiday lights, the bustle of year-end celebrations, and the quiet moments of reflection in between all remind me how special this season truly is. There’s something about the holiday season that makes everything feel a little softer, a little brighter. It’s a beautiful moment to appreciate what we’ve shared and imagine the good things still to come.

I’m filled with gratitude for the connections we’ve made and the progress our Chamber community continues to drive across Western Massachusetts. From powerful conversations at our Rise & Shine Breakfasts to the incredible turnout at Super 60, each event this year has reinforced what I love most about this work: the people.

As we look ahead to 2026, I’m excited for the many chances we’ll have to gather, learn from one another, and continue strengthening the ties that make our region so special. We’ll start the new year on January 9 at Bay Path University with a Rise & Shine Breakfast celebrating the arts, culture, and recreation nonprofits that bring so much heart and vibrancy to our community. These organizations add richness to our daily lives, and I can’t wait to shine a light on their work.

Later in the month, on January 26, we’ll come together for our Government Reception at Storrowton Tavern. I always look forward to this evening because it creates space for genuine conversations between our business community and our local and state officials. Those connections matter, and they remind us how collaboration across sectors truly strengthens Western Massachusetts.

And on February 5, we’ll have the chance to start our morning in one of the most inspiring places in our region: the Springfield Museums. Our Rise & Shine Breakfast will invite us to tap into the history, imagination, and creativity that these museums embody. It’s the perfect setting for conversations about leadership, innovation, and the stories that shape who we are as a community. I always find that spaces like this help us think a little bigger and see our work in a new light, and I hope you’ll join us for what I know will be a meaningful morning together.

Later in February, I’m delighted to welcome back our Leadership Institute in partnership with Western New England University. This program is truly one of the Chamber’s gems. It provides professionals with the space to grow in confidence, strengthen essential leadership skills, and build genuine connections with peers across our region. Watching each class learn, stretch, and support one another is something I cherish every year. Applications are still open, and I encourage you to take a look — it may be exactly the opportunity you or someone on your team has been waiting for.

As we step into the holiday season, I hope you’ll find a few quiet moments to enjoy the lights, laughter, and warmth that come from being surrounded by people who care. I’m grateful every day for this Chamber community and for the joy and strength you bring to our region.

Wishing you peace, kindness, and maybe one more cookie than you planned on.
